Sookinchoot Youth Program

Sookinchoot Youth Program is youth council driven program providing a range of recreational, cultural and social programs. Working to increase educational and employment opportunities. Offering urban Aboriginal/ Metis youth leadership opportunities.

Core programs of the Sookinchoot Youth Leadership Centre are focused on the development of personal and leadership assets in youth.

Programming is developed and delivered under a structure that is accountable to youth. This involves a youth council committee drawn from the core leadership programs who are responsible for working closely with staff on the delivery and design of programs and activities; the involvement of all youth in leadership programs to develop and evaluate new programs and activities.
